At the age of 16, Marie-Soleil Labelle is making her mark on the racing circuits, all without even holding a driver’s license.
The Gatineau native has had a passion for motorsport since the age of 12. Starting out in karting, she caught the attention of a racing academy. The young sensation then skipped steps to become a rookie this year on the Nissan Micra Cup circuit, a transition series towards more powerful car categories.
Nevertheless, she continues her theoretical and practical driving lessons. A driver’s license is not required on closed private circuits, as they already have superior safety measures and supervision compared to the old roads of Quebec.
